Aggressive Chewer Dog

Why Every Dog Needs a Durable Chew Toy

In this article

Dogs chew. It is what they do, and the question is only what they chew on. A durable chew toy of their own gives them an answer.

Why Dogs Chew

Chewing is a natural behaviour for dogs of every age. Some dogs chew a little, and some chew hard and go through toys quickly.

A durable chew toy gives your dog their own thing to chew, and it is a lot easier on your shoes and furniture.

A Durable Chew Toy for Every Dog

For small and medium dogs, the Molar Chew Toy and the Corn Dog Chew Toy are both listed as a good fit. The Corn toy comes with a removable cotton rope for tugging. For larger dogs, the Crocodile Dog Chew Toy is listed for dogs of all sizes.

Making a Chew Toy Part of the Day

Fill the toy with kibble, peanut butter or treats, hand it over after a walk and let your dog settle in. Rotating between two or three toys keeps each one interesting.

A Chew Toy of Their Own Makes Rules Easier

When your dog has a toy that is theirs, it is easy to hand it over whenever you spot them eyeing the sofa. Dogs learn what is theirs to chew, and you get fewer tug of war moments over shoes.

Keep the toy where your dog can find it, and rotate it with another one so it stays interesting.

Frequently Asked Questions
