The Modular Dining Station: Build a Feeding Setup for Every Pet

In this article

Picture this: Jake's kitchen corner had turned into a small obstacle course: a tall slow feeder for Rex, his German Shepherd, a shallow saucer for Pixel, his Chihuahua, and a lick mat that never had a permanent spot.

When Every Pet Needs Something Different

Nothing in Jake's corner matched, and cleaning up meant gathering pieces from four different spots.

Multi-pet households run into this all the time. A bowl sized for a large breed is wrong for a small one, and buying each piece separately rarely works like one cohesive setup.

What Most Feeding Setups Get Wrong

Most feeding gear is a fixed, single-purpose product. It works for one pet with one need, but households rarely stay that simple. Pets get older, new pets join and needs shift, while the bowl itself never changes.

How the Modular Dining Station Works

The Modular Pet Dining Station Base is a flexible base with a sliding system, so you can build a setup around your pet instead of a fixed layout. It comes in Medium (250 x 250 mm) and Large (400 x 400 mm). Modules slot straight in, and you can expand or rearrange them as needs change.

Choose what each pet needs: a Slow Feeder Bowl Module for a fast eater, a Lick Mat Module for a calmer mealtime, a Multi-Layer Puzzle Feeder Module for a bit of challenge, or a Water Bowl Module for a dedicated drinking spot. For cats that hesitate at deep bowls, the Whisker Relief Bowl Module swaps in as easily. Modules come in Medium (125 x 125 mm) and Large (200 x 200 mm).

What Changed in Jake's Kitchen

Once Jake switched both dogs to one base with modules chosen for each, the corner stopped looking like mismatched parts and started looking like one setup, configured differently for two very different dogs.

Bundles, All-in-One Options and Where to Start

If you would rather skip building your own, the Medium Bundle and the Large Bundle come ready to go. For cats and small dogs there is also the Dining Station for Cats and Small Dogs, which combines a slow feeder, a lick mat and a water bowl in one piece.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use different modules for different pets? Each pet usually has their own base, with modules chosen individually, so a large dog and a small cat can each get what they need.

Should I buy the base on its own or a bundle? The Medium and Large Bundles come pre-selected, which is convenient. Buying the base alone makes more sense if you want to choose each module yourself.

Can I add more modules later? Yes. The system is designed to expand, so you can add a module whenever your pet's needs change.

A feeding setup does not need to be complicated. It just needs to fit the pets eating from it. Browse the Premium Petsun Designs to start building yours.
